Don’t be unaware of me,

For I am the beginning and the end.
I am both whore and holy.

l am wife and virgin.

I am barren and fertile.

Recognize my poverty and riches.
Don’t arrogantly dismiss me

when l am despised,

and you will find me.

Don’t point at me when I’m on the dung heap,
and leave me reviled,

and you will find me.

Don’t laugh at me when lam disgraced and humbled.
Don’t detest me,

when I am violently killed.
For I am compassion and I am cruelty.

Be aware.

Don’t hate my disobedience
and don’t love my self-discipline.
Don’t forsake me in my weakness

and don’t fear my power.

Why do you not value my terror
and curse my pride?
